A dip in the blue

Today I want to take you to visit a total blue apartment ( well, rather than blue, it is a wonderful dusty blue – read here my post on denim drift color):  this is the house in Oslo of the Italian-Norwegian stylist duo Kråkvik & D’Orazio.

The choice of this smooky blue, which dominates on the walls, doors and furniture of the interior, reflects the eclectic and not trivial style of its owners, a couple in work and in life.

Blue is supposed to be a cool color and instead the result is a warm and cozy inside, with charm to spare and an absolutely personal style. The choice of washed-out pine flooring, kitchen with wooden doors and copper details (such as the lamps), helps to warm up the environment and bring brightness to the rooms.

The selection of furnishings is an interesting mix of Nordic, Italian and vintage design. Pieces from the Danish brand Frama, with which the couple started a collaboration, dominate: from Frama are the free-standing kitchen, the lounge table, the abat-jour beside the bed. And we also find some classic bistrot chair by Thonet combined with a contemporary piece of design like the Chair One designed by Konstantin Grcic for Magis and, in the bedroom, the Bertoia Diamond chair from Knoll.

What about the result? Did you fell in love too?
