Today I want to propose a different kind of post and I sincerely hope you like it! This is a new episode of the GET THE LOOK section but this time it’s special.

In fact, I imagined to make a small restyling of my current bedroom and today I want to propose the first result. Yes because, since I am an eternal indecisive, I thought of two different options with totally different styles.

Be clear, for now the restyling will remain only on paper and a small dream because I live in a rent apartment. I know that many of you will understand me, renting for me means that I don’t want to spend too much time (and especially money) in customizing the house according to my taste.  Therefore we decided to buy some furniture in Ikea in a neutral style that can be adapted to future homes … if we will ever buy a house, I’m afraid I will go crazy for furniture shopping and no one will be able to stop me (maybe only my wallet) 🙂

Anyway, this is my room now. Of course it is not so bad but it definitely lacks of personality.

In the first relooking, I thought of a partial restyling, keeping the current bed, the shelves and the curtains. The imaginary intervention is above all on the color of the walls and the addition of some design elements with a nordic and vintage taste (like my beloved Louis Poulsen lamps or Vitra chair … guys, dreaming is for free).

I was inspired by images like these: Nordic style, wood, white and shades of gray, vintage elements, black and white photos and warm duvets and blankets. Pure Scandinavian style.

And this is the result … what do you think? Do you like it? I am happy with the result, with a few touches I think I managed to recreate a room with a Scandinavian style, simple but welcoming at the same time. In short, not so original but, if this was really my room, I would be happy.
