And here we are again talking about Copenhagen (I had already written on the blog about the hotel Nobis and the Vipp hotel): Copenhagen seems to confirm to be the must visit city if you love design and Nordic style.
Today we talk about Ibu, a new Asian fusion restaurant created by chef Henrik Jyrk and located in the trendy Vesterbro district of Copenhagen.
The chef has entrusted Ferm Living with the interior design and decoration, with the request to create an environment that would visually refer both to its Nordic roots but also to the Asian flavors of his recipes. The goal was to create a space where guests “wanted to linger” and feel at home, which is why Ferm Living decorated the restaurant almost as if it was decorating someone’s home.
Ferm Living has worked on a palette of colors that reminds both the Nordic atmospheres but also the Asian culture. The color palette ranges from grays to beige, that reminds of the color of Copenhagen’s building and rooftops, to dark red, which in China symbolizes happiness and good luck.
The restaurant has been furnished with pieces of Ferm Living, such as the Hermann chairs, Quilt cushions and lamps.
Design and Asian cuisine: the perfect restaurant for me. And do not tell me you do not want to have dinner here at least once!
