The new Vipp hotel in Copenhagen

The next 1 November Vipp, a renowned nordic furniture and home accessories company, will open a Vipp Hotel in Copenhagen. But beware, this is not a real hotel with a reception and many rooms, but a wider project of widespread accommodation: offering unique rooms in various destinations. “Our destinations all share the same goal: we want to invite people to experience first hand our philosophy of good design in a place out of the ordinary.” – says Kasper Egelund, CEO at Vipp

The place out of the ordinary is in this case a beautiful 400 sqm loft in Copenhagen designed by Danish architect David Thulstrup. Warm wood beams and industrial elements frame a beautiful mix of design furnishings: the focal point of the loft is the wonderful and iconic industrial kitchen of Vipp. In addition to Vipp’s kitchen, lamps and accessories, we find other beautiful pieces of furniture such as Clerici chairs designed by Konstantin Grcic for Mattiazzi and The Tired armchairs by By Lassen. The result is a warm and inviting space, much more intimate and cozy than a classic hotel room.

Prior to this loft, Vipp had already opened the Vipp Shelter, a beautiful prefabricated house lost in the middle of the Swedish nature. A design haven where you can relax and rest and where you can sleep watching the stars.

Other destinations for the hotel Vipp are already under construction ‘Our ambition is to have a palette of destinations with rooms curated to people who seek a one-off design experience, or customers who want to try to live with the Vipp kitchen in a home-away-from-home sitting. A Vipp kitchen is for life, but you can start with just a weekend”, Kasper Egelund explains.
