As we are seeing more and more in shops and magazines, and as we had already saw in the 2019 Furniture Week, rugs and carpets are back in fashion.
The rug is actually a great classic in the decoration of a house, raise your hand if you don’t have a carpet in your living room.
But the trendiest rugs are very different from the usual rectangular or round rugs we are used to. The new models often have very large dimensions and above all have irregular shapes.
Many designers are inspired, for example, by the organic forms from nature, while other rugs result from the overlapping of multiple geometric figures, such as the rugs designed by Elisa Ossino for Amini. Other rugs are instead real abstract paintings, such as the rugs designed by Faye Toogood for CC tapis or those designed by Estudio Campana for Nodus Rug.
I made a selection of my favorite brands and the irregularly shaped rugs that I like most. I hope you like them too!
