Living Coral has been recently nominated as the new Pantone color for 2019. It is the Pantone 16-1546 and it symbolizes our inner need for optimism and joy. And it also launches an ecological message, making us thinking about sea pollution, global warming and coral bleaching.
I admit I was not very happy when they announce Living Coral as the new color because I have never been a big fan of orange or coral. But when Amara contacted and ask me be to write a contribution for their blog for an article about Living Coral and how to style at home, I decided to give it a try…and I did try a styling in my bedroom.
My idea of styling at home? Living Coral is a bright and bold hue. If you want to give it a try at home but don’t feel like painting a whole wall or buying a statement piece, like a sofa, my advice is “Less is More”. You can try to use it only as an accent of color in a room, maybe adding some pillows, a cozy blanket or some accessories. It is an easy and cheap way to add this new color to your home. A pop of Living Coral can bring light and color and create a fresh and playful atmosphere at home (perfect for next spring). Consider incorporating it as an accent of color in a room where neutral colors dominate. The pairing with foundation hue such as white or beige is really beautiful. If you also add some graphic patterns like, black and white stripes, the result will be modern and fun.
Here you can read the all article that was published online on The LuxPad by Amara. You will find many tips from other talented bloggers on how to style Living Coral at home.
