Trends in decorations for Christmas 2017 - Part 3

We have already talked about two trends for the decoration of this Christmas 2017: on one hand the trend of soft and dusty colors such as pink and blue, on the other the trend of natural decoration made of wood, leaves, pine cones.

But there is another trend for this Christmas 2017 which is totally different from the first two.

Personally, I am not crazy about it because I prefer to decorate the house in a sober and minimalist way, but I’m sure it will surprise many of you.

Hold on tight because this Christmas is colored with the festive and ironic atmosphere of what is called the Kitschmas trend! Yes, you understood correctly, Kitschmas! The kitsch style seems to be trendy, according to the ecommerce Amara and also according to the Casafacile magazine.

So neon colors are back, together with bright colors in the shades of candies and bubblegum, and colored lights of all shapes. And then cupcakes and pineapples, flamingos and cactuses: the decorations wink with the tradition but adding a hint of originality and craziness!

In decorating the house and the tree you can then give free rein to the imagination: combine kitsch decorations, shapes, colors, colored lights … in short, this Christmas you definitely have to go beyond tradition and think outside the box!
