We never get tired of polka dots

Today I want to talk about one of the most classic and loved pattern that never goes completely out fashion but that this season is really in vogue (at least from what I see in fashion stores!): Polka dots!

A pattern that immediately brings a touch of femininity and joy in any environment. I also love the optical effect that the polka dots create, I find it visually very pleasant and fun.

What are your favorite colors for polka dots and what size? I definitely go for the classic small black dots on a white background (for a very graphic effect), but I also really like larger light gray polka dots on a white background (for a soft and romantic effect).

I like polka dots especially in accessories, maybe a pillow on the sofa, a tablecloth or a set of dishes. But I have to admit that I saw two walls decorated with polka dots (my friend Maura decorated the wall behind her bed, Ilaria instead a wall in the bedroom of her little girl) and the result is very nice. In this case, if you are afraid of getting tired and you do not want to apply a wallpaper, you can use some polka dots stickers (for example like these ones).

And how to combine polka dots? I love them combined with striped or zigzag patterns, but I also like them in a colorful and fluo version combined with geometric patterns. On the other hand, if you want a more romantic effect, you should combine them with floral or foliage patterns.
