Ikea’s furniture hacking with Fronteriors

Today I want to share a “discovery” that I recently made and seems very interesting to me.

It is a new company that allows you to customize your Ikea furniture. The brand is called Fronteriors and was launched in 2019 by two interior bloggers and stylists: Linda Dekkers and Kathryn Hawkes (better known as Live Loud Girl and House of Hawkes).

Fronteriors offers a unique and elegant collection of doors, tops and sides that fit Ikea furniture frames. It allows you to customize your Ikea furniture, give them a second life and change their look to match a new home’s style.

The idea is not new, other well-known brands allow you to hack Ikea furniture. I talked about three companies in this post, but in the meantime, others have been launched (I must remember to tell you about Reform, a brand that instead focuses on customizing the Ikea Method kitchens).

What struck me a lot about Fronteriors is the refined style, the attention to details and quality (you can see the touch of two interior stylists!). The shapes, colors, materials and finishes follow the latest trends in the world of interiors, therefore they are perfect for renovating your furniture and making it trendy without throwing it away! It seems to me like an excellent solution for reusing furniture, an important choice to make our home more “sustainable” too.
