The Lanvin store in Shanghai designed by Dimorestudio

DimoreStudio designed the new Shanghai store of the French Maison LANVIN, located in the business heart of the city. The project reflects the brand’s new creative direction of Bruno Sialelli and will serve as a blueprint for all other Lanvin boutiques worldwide.

In this 280 sqm store, Dimorestudio played with the illusion effect by designing solid undulated surfaces that are perceived as smooth curtains. This unique feature is reinterpretation of Richard Serra’s large-scale abstract metal sculptures. The ceiling is painted in black to contrast with the light color of the cement walls, flooring and pillars.

The space represents a natural merge between fashion and art. Real draped curtains cascading from the ceiling reinforce the ambiguity impression, whilst, at eye level, transversal hanging bars showcase the latest ready-to-wear items.

In line with the contemporary and artsy mood evoked, the project includes decorative furniture such as the armchair Poltrona 081 by Dimoremilano, the T1 side table by Tecno, white sofas and armchairs from Paradiso Terrestre’s Mantilla series and bespoke rugs with linear and circular motifs.
